Intro

The project began as an exploration of playful food branding inspired by comics, streetwear, comfort food, and casual culture. Rather than presenting comfort food as modern or minimal, the concept leaned into bold colors, exaggerated forms, and the energetic visual language often seen in packaging, street graphics, and character-based design. From that starting point, the identity developed around the pig as a friendly and slightly mischievous symbol, turning the ingredient itself into a recognizable character. Rounded typography, vibrant color blocking, and expressive shapes were introduced to create a visual language that feels lively, approachable, and strongly connected to street-inspired aesthetics. The focus of the project was to explore branding through personality and cultural references rather than trends or minimalism. Instead of aiming for restraint, the goal was to create a playful identity that captures the humor, warmth, and indulgence associated with comfort food shared in relaxed, familiar settings.
